Peking – Classic Carpet

Peking rugs, also known as Beijing carpets, originate from northern China and are admired for their refined elegance, restrained compositions, and rich symbolic language. This Peking Classic rug is a modern hand-knotted interpretation woven in northern Afghanistan by skilled artisans who preserve the classical design language of historic Chinese carpets. While inspired by traditional Peking prototypes, the rug is realized through Afghan craftsmanship, giving it warmth, individuality, and a distinctly hand-made character.

The rug is woven using high-mountain wool from sheep raised at elevations above 1,000 meters, where cooler climates produce fleece naturally rich in lanolin.
