Tabriz Classic — Signed Master-Weaver Piece,

This 6'8" × 10' Tabriz Classic rug is a refined Persian hand-knotted carpet with an elegant central medallion, richly detailed floral ornamentation, and a beautifully balanced color palette. The bright blue field creates a fresh and luxurious foundation, while the ivory, red, soft beige, rose, gold, black, and delicate accent tones bring depth, contrast, and sophistication. The large central medallion draws the eye inward, while the surrounding arabesques, floral scrolls, and graceful corner designs create movement and harmony throughout the rug.

The artistry of this piece is shown in its fine details and formal composition. The design reflects the classical Tabriz tradition, where miniature-style drawing, precise floral motifs, and architectural balance come together in one elegant layout. The wool gives the rug strength, body, and durability, while the silk highlights add a luminous sheen and help define the intricate flowers, medallion, and border details. This rug is also signed on both ends by the master-weaver, adding authenticity, identity, and collectible value.

Tabriz is the capital of East Azerbaijan Province in northwestern Iran and is one of the oldest and most respected carpet-weaving centers in the world. Tabriz rugs are famous for their variety of designs, high craftsmanship, fine knotting, and sophisticated use of color. The art of Tabriz carpet weaving reached great importance during the classical Persian period, especially under the Safavid dynasty, when Persian carpet design became closely connected with miniature painting, court art, and refined decorative composition.

Traditional Tabriz designs often feature a central medallion surrounded by arabesques, flowers, scrolling vines, and sometimes weeping willow or garden-inspired motifs. This piece continues that artistic heritage with a highly detailed medallion layout and approximately 4.5 million knots, reflecting an impressive level of precision and craftsmanship. More than simply a floor covering, this signed Tabriz Classic is a work of Persian art, bringing elegance, history, and timeless sophistication into the home.
